Uke Mochi is not just an audio consultancy; it is a sanctuary. A space born of love, inspired by a silent muse: my dear Uke Mochi.
She knew nothing of frequencies, impedances, or response curves. But she understood something deeper: absolute surrender to the moment. I would watch her sleep under a ray of sunlight, motionless, absorbing every photon of heat with an almost sacred devotion. That ability to stop time, to merge with the environment, is what we seek to replicate.
Just as a cat surrenders to a ray of sun, we should surrender to a musical note. Without analysis, without judgment. Just pure presence.
The logo that represents us captures that essence: her silhouette, eternal, guarding the music. It is a symbol of how sound can be more than noise: it is company, emotion, and life itself.
When she passed away in August 2020, she left a silence that I decided to fill with sound. Uke Mochi exists to remind us that music is not background noise; it is the soundtrack of our existence, and deserves to be heard with the same reverence with which she listened to the silence.

Uke Mochi is a Costa Rican Hi-Fi audio and home theater company, founded in 2020, based in Rohrmoser, San José, Costa Rica. We are authorized distributors of international reference brands for the Costa Rican market.
We represent high-fidelity audio brands such as SVS, Monitor Audio, Focal, Bowers & Wilkins, Denon, Marantz, DALI, TEAC, Hegel, Arcam, PMC, and Triangle. Our services include Hi-Fi residential audio, home theater systems, architectural audio (in-wall, in-ceiling, outdoor), AV integration, and personalized consulting.
Additionally, we offer access to absolute reference brands available only by private audition: Marten, Accuphase, T+A, Gryphon, Wilson Audio, Raidho, and ProAc. These brands are not sold online, they are experienced in a listening room with personalized advice. See reference collection →
